1. Eurozone, U.S manufacturing slows

  • Eurozone September PMI of 50.3 the lowest since July 2013, U.S. September Manufacturing Index falls to 56.6 from 59. 
  • Index remained above 50, showing manufacturing did not contract.
  • Poor Eurozone figures also impacting UK manufacturing; UK PMI hit 17 month low of 51.6 in September compared to 52.2 in August. 
  • PMI's in Germany and France both under 50 in September.
