- U.S President Barack Obama has outlined his view on net neutrality.
- In statement, Obama urged Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to create a new set of rules to protect net neutrality.
- Obama said rules should ensure 'that neither the cable company nor the phone company will be able to act as a gatekeeper, restricting what you can do or see online'.
- Move welcomed by Netflix, criticised by Speaker of the House John Boehner (R) who said government should not regulate the internet.
