'All systems go' for comet mission

  • In the coming hours, the European Space Agency will attempt to land the Rosetta probe on a moving comet.
  • Rosetta probe was first launched 10 years ago; Touch down is scheduled for just after 4pm GMT.
  • There has been a problem on board the lander
  • Lander manager: 'The cold gas thruster on top of the lander does not appear to be working so we will have to rely fully on the harpoons at touchdown'.

UPDATE: Comet landing imminent; separation successful.
