U.S and China reach climate change deal

  • The United States and China have agreed a joint pact to reduce their climate emissions. 
  • Obama calls agreement a 'major milestone' in relations between the two countries. 
  • U.S will aim to cut carbon emissions to between 26 and 28 per cent of 2005 levels by 2025.
  • China will aim to beginning cut carbon emissions in 2030 and to increase China's use of renewable energy to 20 per cent of total production by 2030.
