Qatar cleared of World Cup corruption

  • A FIFA report into alleged corruption has cleared Qatar of any wrongdoing in its winning bid to hold the 2022 World Cup.
  • Report criticises England's bid for the 2018 World Cup; says FA inappropriately tried to win over former FIFA vice president Jack Warner. 
  • FA: 'We do not accept any criticism regarding the integrity of England’s bid or any of the individuals involved'. 
  • FIFA said it look forward to continuing to plan for the 2018 and 2022 World Cup's in Russia and Qatar respectively.
