- Army officials believe General Alzate Mora and two others were taken by rebels in Choco province on Sunday as they travelled along a river to inspect an energy project.
- General was apparently dressed in civilian clothes; rebels may not have known he was in the army.
- President Juan Manuel Santos said on Twitter that all indications were that FARC were behind the abductions.
