FAI boss apologises over republican song

  • FAI Chief Executive John Delaney has apologised for any offence caused by footage of him signing a republican song in a Dublin pub.
  • In an RTE interview, Delaney accuses person who filmed him singing of being 'sly'.
  • The Guardian and Balls.ie both say they were told by the FAI that person in the video was not Delaney.
  • Guardian was threatened with legal action by London law firm acting on Delaney's behalf warning them against publishing the footage on Monday evening.
