Researchers in Brazil who examined 29 babies with microcephaly and suspected Zika virus found 10 of them had vision threatening eye damage.

Reasons for 'deep concern'
The lack of population immunity, the potential for the outbreak to spread further, the absence of vaccines and tests in addition to the suspected link between Zika and birth malformations and neurological syndromes, specifically microcephaly, were all cited as reasons for the WHO's deep concern.
