Exit polling suggests result in Danish election is too close too call

Red Block

Blue Block

  • Exit polling carried out by Danish media groups suggest the left and right wing blocks of Denmark's parliament are neck and neck in the race to hold the most seats.

  • In Denmark, which uses proportional representation, there are ten main parties spilt into the 'blue block' of five right of centre political parties and the 'red block' of five left of centre political parties.

  • The two main parties are coalition leaders The Social Democrats in the red block and opposition leaders Venstre in the blue block.

Apologies - An earlier version of this article mixed up the red and blue blocks
