The UEFA president will seek to succeed Sepp Blatter as FIFA leader when the world's football associations vote for his successor next February.
FIFA is to hold a presidential election on February 26th 2016 to replace Sepp Blatter, who has said he is standing down as a result of the corruption scandal engulfing the organisation.
The extradition came after Swiss Federal Office of Justice said last week that one of the seven FIFA executives arrested in May had agreed to be extradited to the United States.
The official was not named by authorities but media reports said it may have been Jeffrey Webb, former FIFA vice president.
The decision was made by FIFA's Ethics Committee and excludes the former CONCACAF General Secretary 'from taking part in any kind of football-related activity at national and international level for life'.
