UK government delays plans for fox hunting vote

  • The decision to delay the vote came after Nicola Sturgeon said her Scottish National Party would vote against the measure, despite it only applying to England and Wales.

  • The proposed changes would have relaxed the ban of fox hunting in England and Wales.

  • The SNP leader said she made the u-turn because of the lack of respect shown by David Cameron for her party since the election in May and because of the 'overwhelming demand' of English people for the SNP to vote on the issue.
